Configure Internal Radius settings
PCWL series can be used as simple Radius server.
Show “Node list“ from the menu, and click “Node setting“ Icon.
Enable FreeRadius
Choose FreeRadius tab on Node settings.
Switch “Enable FreeRadius” to “ON” and press “Save“ button and “Enable settings now“ button.
Please note that in case that only saving settings on the screen and enable settings later.
PCWL-0400 series: These settings are enabled by Reloading configuration or Reboot.
PCWL-0500 series: These settings are enabled by Reloading configuration.
Please note that settings are not enabled by Reboot.
Register Radius users
Choose FreeRadius tab on Node settings.
Press “add“ button and input username and password to register. Then press “save“ button.
When you use Internal radius server for MAC address filtering, input the MAC address with removing separator character ( : ).
(example) 11:22:33:aa:bb:cc→112233aabbcc
When you change user name or password, press edit button on the row. Edit its information and then press “save“ button.
When you remove a user, press “delete“ button on the row.
Changes in user information are enabled immediately.
From the smaller icons placed on right top of the screen, you can upload or download Radius user information. Username and password is stored in a CSV file, separated by comma (,)
Note that the larger icons placed on right top of the screen uploads or downloads the file contains all configuration of the node.
Configuring Radius server
Authentication Radius server settings can be done as follows.
Radius server settings can be done both for each SSID and commonly for all SSIDs.
Input IPv4 address of the Core node into “Radius server” and “Radius accounting server“ field.
Note that static IPv4 address should be assigned to the Core node, when the node is working in “bridge mode“ and using Internal Radius.
“Radius port” must be 1812, and “Radius accounting port” must be 1813.
“Radius password” and “Radius accounting password” must be “Pico_Int_Radius“.
After filling these fields, press ”save” button and “Enable settings now“ button.
Limitations
When the internal Radius server is used from other nodes, these nodes and the server must be in the same segment.
The IPv4 addresses assigned to VLAN cannot be the IPv4 address of the Internal Radius server.
