Check the Wi-Fi device flows

If you have registered maps and configured nodes in PicoManager®, you can visualize the movement flows of Wi-Fi devices in maps.

Check the results of Wi-Fi device flow analysis

To check the analysis results of Wi-Fi device flows, follow these steps:

1. Open PicoManager® and access the menu.

2. Select "Wi-Fi Based / Wi-Fi Flows".

3. Choose the desired maps as the targets, and click the "Select and Proceed" button. If there are only a few registered maps (within 6 maps), they will be automatically selected.

4. Wi-Fi device flows provides the following position types:

   1. Node Position (Association based): Displays the flows of devices based on the connected nodes.

5. The displayed content will vary depending on the selected Flowmap mode:

   • All Traces
     Analyzes the flows of devices based on their all data during the given duration.
     It shows the number of moving devices between each pair of positions, and stayed devices on each position.

   • Origin / Destination
     Analyzes the the flows of devices based only on their first and last data during the given duration.
     It shows the number of moving devices between each pair of positions, and stayed devices on each position.

   • IN / OUT (All trac.)
     Analyzes the flows of devices based on their all data during the given duration.
     It shows the number of arrivals to and departures from each position, and stayed devices on each position.

   • IN / OUT (Orig.- Dest.)
     Analyzes the flows of devices based only on their first and last data during the given duration.
     It shows the number of arrivals to and departures from each position, and stayed devices on each position.

   • Traces on Device
     Analyzes the flow of the selected device based on its all data during the given duration.

6. To show only the flow of registered devices, open the "Query/Option" panel and turn off "Display Non-registered Devices".

By following these steps, you can analyze and visualize the movement flows of Wi-Fi devices in maps using PicoManager®.
