AP Monitoring / Monitoring Settings

You can change the monitoring settings for each node and configure monitoring templates.

In the Settings on Nodes tab, you can toggle the monitoring status for each node. By turning the toggle for monitoring ON/OFF to OFF and saving the settings, all monitoring for that particular node will be stopped.

In the Templates tab, you can modify and apply monitoring templates to the nodes.

There are four types of monitoring templates available:

  • Alive monitoring

  • Backhaul Monitoring

  • AP Statistics

  • AP Scan

The changes made to a template will be effective for all the nodes to which it is applied.

In addition to existing templates, it is also possible to create new templates from scratch.

The default monitoring templates cannot be deleted, but the monitoring templates created newly on this screen can be removed by clicking the "Remove" icon.

Using MQTT Moniroting

On PCWL-0400/PCWL-0500 series which employs firmware with MQTT functionality, you can use MQTT monitoring mode instead of PING monitoring mode by choosing “Active mode“ for each node on Monitoring Settings → Settings on Nodes → Monitoring mode setting tab.

  • PCWL-0400 seriesシリーズ: “Passive mode“ is chosen by default. To change to “Active mode,“ please enable MQTT functionality on WebUI2.

  • PCWL-0500 series: “Active mode” is chosen by default. MQTT monitoring is in operation by default.

On PCWL-0400 series, monitoring results by “Active mode” may not be shown on PicoManager® when PING error has been occurred just after (within about 5 minutes) switching from “Passive mode“ to “Active mode“.

Under such circumstances, monitoring results by “Active mode” will be shown by rebooting the node.
